Pretty good start, pretty solid except the hood is thin to non-existent in one spot. Chop is pretty well done, has S10 clip and hubs for the Ford pattern. Looks to be all there plus extra parts, and looks like I can get an FE in there with a rear-sump pan, maybe a 3x2. Might take a C4, looks a little tight for a C6, maybe an AOD. Going to have to sell a couple others, getting too many...
Looks to be a good start. The chop looks pretty smooth. Sent from my SM-A102U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Looking at how much stuff I have that might work for this one- Sanderson shorties, some FPAs, 406 shortie cast headers etc. 3x2, 2x4 setups, THUNDERBIRD covers, Baldies, Cal Customs etc. Painless kit. An extra FE to C4 bell, and several C6s. Have some old Lincoln wheels. It has the 49 front, and the S10 clip is nicely installed. Even has both seats to start with, and plenty of room to set the front one back and down a bit to fit my 6'2" frame. Have a few aluminum radiators in different sizes and shapes, and fan setups
Just so ya know, IFS frame clips are off topic here, go ahead and do a thread on your car, just do not focus on the clip swap. Looks like a great project, have fun with it...Thanks
This will be cool with an Fe. So good that you can see what you are buying when it has no paint on the welds too.
I know, I refuse to put a cheapo and boring Chebbie in it, so that puts me on double secret probation around here lol... It was that way when I got it, with "that which shall not be named". BTW, just did a quick search here for "S10 clip" and it turned up 180 threads
What have folks used for an easily available steering column in one of these, that will work with a front- steer setup? I have a boxful of short shafts and u-joints
Thanks, yeah, I let a couple late model tilt columns go with cars to scrap, too much plastic and geegaws on them. Thinking something 60s or 70s with a simple metal housing, nice and clean
