    Someone explain to me that when the manifold sticks out in front of the grille shell, where's the whole front of the engine that usually protrudes forward of the manifold on a straight-6 (or so?) engine. Maybe this is a new "ram effect" idea that "lets the vapor flow backwards better".

    Yep, that's the correct way to reach the plug wires on the opposite side of the engine.....and thanks!

    Could that be a valve cover on a V8? There might be a front mounted blower on the engine with a home made manifold for the five Strombergs.

    Ed Pink shows of his Ansen-Pink Dragster to a cutie at Pomona back in 1961. The team got Archie Leiderbrand from Kansas City to shoe the Bob Sorrell bodied Kent Fuller chassis. We have it running 192.30 mph and covering the quarter in 8.395 [​IMG]

    Soon to have a cover over the carbs as air passed over the carbs the air syphoned the fuel out the top...
