Event Coverage NAT'S SOUTH - KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE (pics)

We left home this morning around 9 AM after loading the wagon and this was the first outing since I installed the new short shiftier & the aluminum clutch cable quadrant, the car never shifted so good.

We usually have several of our fellow club members attend this show but due to unforeseen cir***stances Just Brenda & I and Dave are here this year.

The only two old cars in the motel parking lot.

The weather is cool but nice, stay tuned I'll be posting photo's tomorrow. HRP

Gary, I have fresh battery's in the camera, as you well know you can't come to Knoxville and not get wet, It's raining now but hopefully it will clear up tomorrow. HRP

 

Went to Knoxville in 1990 and again in 1995. Enjoyed that event and won a set of gauges in the lucky draw called by Wings Kalahan as he was DJ'ing the event.

 

Makes me wonder why they call it the Street Rod nats south

Just a WAG but since the National Street Rod ***ociation was started in t and when the early 1970's, they started divisions and used the areas to denote where in the country the event would take place, hence the Nat's South, the Nat's North and so on. HRP

 

There are some beautiful cars and trucks here, I didn't take photo's of some cars that would knock your socks off but questionable wheels ruled them out.

I'll add photo's all weekend. HRP

Thanks Danny, that black 40 with TQ’s looks like mine, hood open, trunk open, maybe a jack under the right front. Lol. I saw Hamber Irant’s 40 coupe also, black with the single fog light.
