That cleaned up nice and looks great. How was the heater core and fan motor?

I installed a heater in my old beater after owning the car for 31 years, I should have done it years ago. HRP

Surprising the core and fan motor both are great . I have to measure the load on the motor and determine a step down resistor for the motor . I’m going to leak test the core tomorrow , hopefully it will hold 12 lb . , I run a 7lb cab on the ‘32 . My biggest issue is drilling the Henry firewall and running , tubing or hose in a manner that will look period perfect . I have had that heater for years and it was on the burner to get it cleaned up and installed .

  5. First one I've seen with that brand name. There were dozens of brands of these aftermarket accessory heaters. I have a Hot Wave brand in my '38 Ford pickup. Puts out plenty of heat. Suggest you check with NAPA, they may able to get you a 12V motor that is dimensionally the same as the 6V, less that can go wrong with that approach. Those step-down resistors can get very hot and be a fire hazard.

Speed Queen was a washing machine in the 50's and 60's.

That was my Ole Biker Buddy’s , girl friend’s name also! I think the emblem is a washing machine name plate , but it looks pretty cool to me

  9. I've seen Speed Queen washing machines, but there were so many brands of these aftermarket accessory heaters that I wouldn't be surprised if they made those too. How many of us know that International Harvester once made appliances. One of my cousins has a '40s vintage IH refrigerator in his workshop. My parents bought it new in 1947. In the late '50s, they bought a new Kelvinator refrigerator and gave the old IH refrigerator to Mother's sister who was needing one. That thing is 74 years old, ugly, but works as well as it ever did.

Just bought the bride a new Speed Queen commercial grade washing machine. They have been around a long time and still made in USA according to the sticker on the back.
