    Nice Camper!

Just joking, that's a beautiful "clean as a pin" Chevrolet. Congratulations!

    That's a beauty.
We should tell Johnny that a 55 two-ten sedan would round out his collection nicely.

@Lloyd's paint & glass called me Bob Seger. With just a goatee I'm called the Dude. With short combed back hair mustache only Edward James Olmos.

Thinking about it. But do we sell one of the 56's or buy 2 55's and one more 57?

Have a nice NOS one I found in my Dads stash after he passed away. But I think I'll just pull the one off and leave it at that.

You know what those turbo glides do to your drive way right? Well, yours probably don't. Mine always burp up a qt unannounced.

    Great car. Very sanitary.

Will see. Trans was rebuilt 3 years ago by a retired transmission guy that did them in his sleep back in the day. Strange and neat that shift points do not exist.

  17. Damn! Nice car Johnny! And I've been thinking, you are a cross between Bob Seger and Randy Owen from Alabama :D

  18. Great looking 210! Perfect hot rod material right there. You don't have to restore it first. Yep, some folks may tell you '' That's the one you leave alone'' or something to that effect. But who is it we're supposed to be ''saving'' it for? Have fun with it I say!

  19. On a side note I heard the DJ saying today that Segar outsold the Beatles in the Michigan area back in the day, he was that popular.

    Gee, Johnny... ummm... Gee.
    Dat's really REALLY nice.
Looks like all the hard work's truly been done.

I went to a Bob Seger concert here in Detroit in 1975. That was one fun concert. EVERYBODY in Cobo Hall was just rocking their ASSES off. People dancing in the aisles with other people they didn't even know LOL.
I was mesmerised by the spotlight that was reflecting off of the chrome plate on Bob Seger's guitar and back into the audience. We were in the upper level, but that reflected beam of light transmitted his every move.
Oh yeah... and then the sax player popped up out of nowhere way up in the rafters.

Segar rocks! And that 57 does, too! I'd put on a set of Torque Thrusts and call it done till the tranny blew, then I'd stick a proper powerglide in it!

I was telling my son "this is how Project X started!"

It's not perfect. It's had a only the outside repainted, jambs are still original paint. Interior had what was bad either repaired or replaced. It's just a good solid complete car that I couldn't let go.

As cool as a set of torque thrust wheels would look on this great 210, I think it looks just fine with painted rims with dog dishes and the black walls, as it is right now! Money has no value unless it's spent, you have spent your money well!

Needs nothing. Great looking ride. You could make it look different but not better. Congrats.

Nice looking ride,it's the right color too. Ditto on the turbo glide, not a case of if but when?
I went through 2 turbo glides years ago, switched to a aluminum cased powerglide and had happy motoring again. Ralphie

Just thinking out loud here (I do that a lot nowadays).
WHEN the turbo glide goes teats up you will have no better opportunity to put a four speed in that cool 57, would make a great sleeper.

Doing very little to this one. However, I may change rear wheels to 15 8's painted to match and run either a 275 or 295 with dog dish caps.

It's working right now. The future will tell.

All transmission can go bad. I believe that Turbo Glides reputation is due to people expecting more from it and driving it incorrectly. If you use just R and D and leave the Gr alone they'll do just fine.

IF the Turboglide takes a vacation on you, and you decide to go with an aluminum Powerglide, I have two, aftermarket bells for them that have the 55-57 mounts cast in. You just cut the stock bell off (similar to the SFI bells), and install one of these using the pump bolts. They were made by A-1 Automatics, and are no longer available; I got the last two. Does the car have the Del Ray interior? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
