They had an "active shooter" on rt 50. I think it's cleared out now...

......Hope that's the case, but it will take hours for the traffic issues to resolve.

Damn, I was getting ready to leave. The rain stopped. Looks like it’s a crawl all the way to the bridge.

......I'll re-check the cameras around noon. I believe that the incident (apparently a stand-off) is still going on. If traffic doesn't improve by then, I may bow out. One ***-hole screws up life for thousands.

Is traffic tied up eastbound or westbound?

As far as I can tell it’s East bound mainly. I did hear about some west bound delays but can’t confirm.
The last time I heard the East bound back up went from 4 to 6 miles from the tolls.

Lanes open but still a long back up. I might head out at 12:30 or so if you want to try it.

Another fantastic event by Mike and the rest of the Rusty Nuts, despite the p***ing rain showers and the Bay Bridge being shut down from 5:00 Am until after Noon. We alt-routed around the top of the Bay and arrived at 9:30 instead of 8 AM, but still worth the extra miles!

Thanks for posting the pictures. WOW! Looks like a good turn out with lots of great cars. Wish I could have been there. Cheers to everybody who braved the weather, and other drama to get there and represent.:):):):):)

.........I made it. Watched the cameras and when I saw traffic moving ever so slightly in St. Margarets, I took a shower and left at 12:30. It was stop and go once I got to the Arnold exit and until I got on the bridge. Made it there at 2:00. Nice selection of cars inside, lots of cars outside had left due to the weather. One deluge while I was there, then some sunshine until I headed home. Got caught in a torrential wind blown rain, but sunshine once again by the time I got to the bridge.

Good job! I made it about 5 miles from the house and had visions of stop and go traffic and made a u turn. Patience is not one of my virtues.

It was a tough haul getting u to the show - took almost 4hurs longer t get there and that was with some lucky breaks and some kind hearted Maryland hot rodders who helped us get t the she after Rt 50 was shut down . Smaller than usual turnout due t weather and traffic but the show itself was stellar and nothing could diminish that. Nice work, guys!
