Yea, that’s what was on my 56 for quite a while before I went with 670-15’s and should look good on your 57. The bird has 215-75’s but that is mainly because I wasn’t complaining about free tires. :D

I hope you didn't mount those air shocks to the floor like stock. That's messed up many a tri five floor. Find some heavy duty station wagon springs or add leaves to what you got.

that trunk floor would already be punched through and/or have the new steel piece welded across for the top of the shocks-it's well over 60 yrs old!

He could also whip up one of those shock mounting brackets that runs tween both frame rails so you don't mount to the frail floor. I just did that on a 57 I built for my cousin. You can also buy them. Dang we sure are good at coming up with work for Lloyd ain't we now?

Yeah i mounted them in the stock location, even after scottyt told me to make an upper shock mount bar. I'll look into it.

    Much better on the tires. That's a 215/70-15. I like it :D 20210428_102556.jpg 20210428_103131.jpg

Yeah i can't afford that stuff lol. Still gotta change the rear gears and figure out the gas gauge. It's called procrastination. Bodywork is fine when you're getting paid to do it lol :D

  12. I wish I was closer...I would trade you, I’d rather swap gears and fix gas gauges then do bodywork.

Nothing like gasoline running down your arm into your armpit, or the smell of 63 year old 90 weight grease lmao. I didn't take any pictures but i did DA the top today. Gonna do some paint up there before i spray the rest of it.

I think as long as the rear floors are "GOOD" where the shocks mount, and not eaten up with rust and damage, they'll be fine. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I don’t trust floor pans for shock mounts. Sheet metal gets stress fractures and will be fatigued. There is a bolt on shock relocation kit that you can install in just a couple of hours, even weld it in if you should desire.

I'll check with the guy that owns it. Seems like i heard him say that he already has the seats reupholstered. I do know he's looking for a gas tank for it.

9 pass third seat - very hard to find
9 pass gas tank, probably the most hard to find 5-7’ Chev part

Yeah he told me it doesn't interchange. The car is gonna be bone stock on the outside, but it's WAY off topic underneath, so I'm sure he'll use a tank out of something else.

I asked him about the seats, he's got it all. He told me they don't even reproduce the gas tank?

I was able to obtain a new gas tank for my 57 Sedan Delivery from some dealer out of New York (cannot remember the name). The hose leading from the fuel to the tank is different from a regular non-station wagon/sedan delivery.
