Gotta cover those wheelhouses and make some big ass panels to cover the sides. Still a bunch to do  carpet for the front should be in soon.

Ok i ran my grocery grinders too soon. Picked up a later 10 bolt today with 3.08 gears. Looks like I've added some work before bowling green  but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Screenshot_20210525-154748_Gallery.jpg

And as for my Jeg's cut 40 plasma cutter, it works amazing. Took 2 minutes to take the saddles off. Screenshot_20210525-175248_Gallery.jpg

Ok my friends, this is where i need your help. Turns out the rear end i bought is a 7.5" i knew it wasn't an 8.5" i just assumed it was an 8.2 from the 60" measurement from wms to wms. So what vehicle came with a 7.5 that's 60" wide? I'm already tore down! 20210525_201009.jpg

Lloyd . I think thats an 80's era S10 2 wheeler. Have one out in the barn that I haven't looked at in years but thats the only one of that era that I can think of besides a Camaro or firebird with leafs . But either way same basic rear. width screw 's ya, but other wise a good cruiser rear end.

OK, we have a 56, Bel Air, 4 door (Townsman) wagon, BUT, it has 4 door Sedan rear doors (???). Is the Wagon a true Bel Air? That would be a fairly rare car if it was. What's on the vin plate, A, B, or C? Too bad about the 10 bolt, really not any stronger than the stock one, and probably more. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I don't know what the car is to be honest. He put the tops on the doors before he brought them to me.

    Will a 255 70/15 fit on the rear of a 57?

Have them on the back of my 56. Good move if looking to drop somemore R's. ;)

255/70R15 tires have a diameter of 29.1", a section width of 10.0", and a wheel diameter of 15". The circumference is 91.2" and they have 694 revolutions per mile.

    Versus

235/60R15 tires have a diameter of 26.1", a section width of 9.3", and a wheel diameter of 15". The circumference is 82.0" and they have 773 revolutions per mile.

Gotta pull the shackles and drop the rear to get them on?

If a tight fit I just let the air out. Air them back up.

No but as you may be able to see I have stock 15 7 steel wheels. I can still get them off if I jack up the complete rear (both tires off the ground) but it needs to be high enough to swing bottom of wheel and tire inward to let's say roll off the drums. Jacking one side up, no issue at all.
