This is a photo of Chuck Potvin driving Meb Healys Austin American Bantam roadster with a 32 Ford grille shell and a Chevrolet 6 for power at an SCTA meet. People thought I was the first to use an Austin with a 32 grille and an inline for an engine. You can look up Meb. A prestigious SCTA trophy is named for him.. 67AD2D9A-1A04-45CE-B7FD-ED9E6BAACC6B.jpeg

Oh...Ok....I got it now ....you said "nice stilts" meaning "nice legs" ?
I read it as "nice slits" and thinking you must of meant "clits" but then I thought...plural? there's more than one of them?......then I read it again .....oh...Ok...stilts.
But if that skirt was... any shorter ..I bet you would at least see some lips.
Come on now....clean it up....Ok sorry.

On Isky’s right is Lou Baney and on the left is Ak Miller. John Athan is in that group somewhere, that’s his Roadster (sometimes called the Elvis Roadster) in the foreground.

I’m pretty sure that’s a young Jerry Kugel looking back at the ‘34 Coupe he ran at the lakes and Bonneville with Red Holmes.
The car first ran a SBC, then I think a flathead and finally a Hilborn injected 260 inch Ford Windsor. They set the E/Competition record with the little Windsor.

    Hello,
When Laguna Beach was rather young, in the 1930s, there was a gas station on PCH that was on a busy corner. It had a circular building that housed offices. When it came time to redevelop the gas station corner, the original plan was to demolish the tower building to make way for a more modern office building. Local historians were aghast. They started a movement that saved the tower building and many years later, it flourished as Laguna’s Main Beach Lifeguard Tower with activity going on everyday.

Then since it did not have the necessary room for modern public lifeguard/beach safety standards, it was used for storage, light city usage. But, the photo shoots and a public awareness of the beautiful Main Beach location is the main attraction. If you have ever driven North or South on the busy PCH, you would be able to see it as you drove by.

Our granddaughter as a toddler spent many days playing in the sand, water and playground on those Grandparents days… It was the most fun and was like old times, walking along the wooden boardwalk in front of the lifeguard tower to the North end that had more white sand and the low tide rocky outcroppings.

You meet the nicest things in So Cal if you hang around long enough to enjoy all it has to offer. Of course, Main Beach was once the powerful beach volleyball epicenter along the coast. Also, it was the center of outdoor basketball in all of So Cal. It even rivaled the famous outdoor courts of Venice/Santa Monica in Los Angeles County.

With our 1940 Ford Flathead Sedan Delivery, this highway was the main road to surfing treasure spots farther down the coast. Then many years after high school, my wife and I cruised the same highway in our 2nd 1940 Ford 327 powered SBC Sedan Delivery down the coast and up into the steep hillside communities.

The day or night drives in the hot rods were always pretty cool and entertaining. The sound and feel of being in an old hot rod just made the road trips that much more fun and exciting.

Nice spot to view the Pacific Ocean in its grandeur… sitting, walking or driving by on Coast Highway in your normal car or cool hot rod.
