Yes. Good job identifying the location! Havana. Here are a couple more from the same collection. License plates help with the location.

Any idea of what Army fort that picture was taken at?

It's a WWII barracks, most were exactly the same, all over the USA. I had a 8 week stay in one at Ft Polk, LA.

I'm sure your right, I didn't look close enough to see those stripes.

I remember those building well! It was said that when I was there ('66) they could burn to the ground, in about 15 min.

Looks like Lackland AFB in San Antonio. I went through basic there in the Fall of 66.

  14. Is this why 4 doors are considered unexciting :)
4 doors have the conservative looking people in the photos, 2 doors and convertibles have the sauve looking types and the ladies are more fashion concsious (T-birds are up a level again)

What about these "fashion conscious" four door ladies?

I heard that these fashionably dressed people hosted a pretty good party on the day that they posed for this picture! :D

Is this "up a level" from the T-birds?

  23. the T-birds sure are something else. I still reckon they look like a channeled & shortened Customline though

Are those straps over the rear glass to keep it from blowing out or something? I guess this is an oval race car? Looks kind of neat that they lowered a 4 door like that... got any more pics?

  26. Pretty sure it was drag racing, I would reckon the same as you on the rear window. 2 doors were ( still are) pretty rare here, almost all Aussie RHD cars 52 - 59 were 4 door sedans and Mainline utilities.
