Technical mounting wire wheel cover to the continental rear tire set up55 chevy belair.

    hello all, I have a 55 chevy belair convertible with a continental set up I recently installed wire wheels on the car, now I like to install wires to the rear tire.. the tire is mounted that the outside faces the trunk any ideas how I can get this done thanks to all...

  3. Looks like the hub cap on the tire inside ought to show through. Unless you have a '57 cover?

    I have the continental kit mounted with a tire, because the width of the tire and back space the outer front of the rim faces the trunk, to reverse it would be no good. I did see some 55 belairs with the wire wheel set up in the rear. is there an adapter I can use thanks

    on a 55 belair the wheel color faces out yes its a hub cap that needs a dog dish cap with clips to hold the wire wheel in place

  11. What type and size wire wheels/tires are on the car? Are they new?

    the tire is a firestone 650 x 15 bias, they are wire caps that uses the dog dish hub cap with 5 clips do you know anyone who did this set up on a 55 rear tire ty

    one here has had a continental kit for there 55 /56/57chevy
