When talking Model A Top Chops people talk about how much gets taken out, I'd like to ask how tall the side gl*** is on your finished chop and please post a photo. TEN inches looks about right on the side gl*** on my project, and no saws have been fired up yet. Thanks!

What you need to do instead of asking us for help is:
Using a contrasting color marker, mark your door posts in one inch increments vertically (that's up-and-down in simple language).
Take a few pictures of your car, print the pictures out on paper, then get out some scissors and start cutting, those one inch markings will tell you exactly how much to chop.

If one’s fat*** can’t crawl out a window if you end up wrong side up.....is the chop too severe to be safe.....or am I over thinking it?

  5. Coupe or Sedan? It makes a difference

    Yes, you are overthinking it

I took 7" out of my T coupe and the door gl*** still measures 10 1/2" tall. 10" tall window should look good.

Some poor guy with a mail slot chop is now going to get claustrophobia, and have to sell his pride and joy! HaHaHa.

state of MAINE had a rule that your wiper blade be 7" long...
totally dependent on where you locate it...
not much room with stock location but plenty of blade if mounted midway across...

Lots or room if you mount them on the side of the windshield.

I see you’ve made a decision but I thought I’d throw another one your way just for reference.

Ha! Chops... Done 'em, helped with 'em, advised 'em.
BUT... Nephew Phil and I were at Turlock. '31 Model A coupe up for sale. It says, "Chopped."
I can see the welds, but...it's NOT chopped! I'd bet money on it.
We walked, and measured 2 Model A Coupes.
Returning, we measured the 'chopped' one. Like the man said: Chopped. 1 inch!!! Never saw the like.
    I couldn't spot it... LOL

My avatar is of my coupe in mock up. This is a 4" chop and the last one was 5 1/2" which is a little more than I like.
