  2. FE engine, possibly a 352. Interior looks serviceable albeit dirty and would probably clean up to be acceptable. Body appears solid but no real pictures of the rockers and missing rear end trim. Underneath what about the floors and frame for rust. Also an AC car and automatic transmission. Does it even run? Maybe $300 depending on where you live.

  3. Bucket seats and console. In our world it would be 400 bucks for scrap. Would likely be listed for 4500 on our equivalent of craigs list if it had an ownership. Looks like a big project.

  4. 1964 Galaxie, not a 63-1/2. Probably a 352, but if the original engine the fender emblems or the VIN # will tell. A clean title would be a major factor of price.

Later model FE air breather. New paint. Stock displacement on badge on front fender, likely 390. Hard to tell displacement on a rebuild by codes. Have to measure stroke. It's worth what a person is willing to pay. Take into account of current value and falling trends. A positive factor, many parts are available.

  7. It was originally a 390FE car if the fender emblems are original. But someone has been at the motor as it has newer-model valve covers, maybe a swap to replace a failed one? And how rusty is it? Major rust repair drives down the price. It is a desirable model and looks reasonably complete. Assuming the motor is non-running but rebuildable, I'd say...

Major rust (floors/trunk, rockers, doors, hood and trunk lid) $2K max.
    Less serious rust, $3500 max.

Prices do vary by location, around here that would probably be a $1500-2000 car.

Looks like factory ac. Like @Crazy Steve posted above, late model valve cover's and blue block. Does it turn over? 64 rear bumper's are crazy expensive. Look's like a fun project though. As stated- no title- run away.

It looks like a newer engine since it appears to have the newer emissions vacuum advance and it looks like a module for Ford electronic ignition. Even the air cleaner is quite a bit newer than 1964. I'm not completely sure it is an FE engine. The intake manifold on an FE is part of the head and this one looks the intake/head attachment point is different. It might be a 429/460.

It is an FE , obvious by the valve covers and surge tank .... That is a voltage regulator on the right fender apron... A replacement transistor type Ford started using in the late 70's.

Depends on your money and your skills level. These cars are notorious for rust in several places, can you do the repair yourself or will you have to pay someone to do it? Is AR a title state? If so, can you get it with a clean title? The bucket seats and console are desirable, harder to find items. Most were bench seat cars.

I wouldn't give over $1000 for it, but I'm cheap. But then again, I wouldn't have to worry about a title where I live, so there is that.

  19. What's the plan for the car? A correct restoration will be expensive; there's a bunch of cobbled junk under the hood and the sun-baked aluminum trim won't be cheap to restore. The upholstery may look 'ok' but will probably come apart in use. But as a basis for a nice cruiser, it has possibilities. Clear title is another issue; I don't know how Arkansas is about that, but no title where I live means it's a parts car unless it's really valuable. But that car will be a fairly serious project, if you're new to the hobby it may prove cheaper in the long run to buy a better car to start with. If you're paying somebody else to do some or most of the heavy lifting that will be particularly true.

You are getting some very good advice from HAMBers, and you have a lot to think about. I love those Galaxies, probably cause I was 11-12 years old when they came out, and there were a couple in my neighborhood that I thought were cool as Hell. But the question is how much do you love these cars? I'm half blind, but can see a couple of areas on the body that would concern me.

  21. Not for 2 grand - that's my in put and I've owned and drove both a 63 1/2 FE with 4sp and a 64 with a 352 3 on the tree. That car needs a lot of luv - $750 would be a good offer - and like was said - and I'm sure this one doesn't have a title - turn away from it.

The worst way to ever park a car up is on dirt or grass. I'd be surprised if it had any floors left in it.

My neighbor gal in Texas way back in 1969 had what was probably the nicest example of one of those in Texas and maybe the US at the time.
She was the office gal at the local Ford Dealer and the car was a special order as far as I know.
I'd say that you have to be a real fan of mid 60's Full size Fords (that's the best looking body style of the batch) and willing to go to the effort to do it right and are not settling for the first old car that might be in your price range you find.
Still the title means a lot. Clear transferable title is worth quite a bit.

If it isn't you dream car I'd leave it for the guy who is dreaming of that exact model though.
Settled for very often doesn't end up near as well as you thought it might.

$1500 .........part it out (bite-my-tongue) and get your money back EZ. Engine and tranny (4-speed?!) buckets and console and a few other goodies are pretty hard to find for guys looking for that stuff.
Nice parting out project OR......you might get lucky........not much rust.........engine fires......got yourself a nice ridding performance barge for a little money and some TLC!!
    Do it!

I’m a big fan of falcons and this is like the better version of that
most likely the wheels are dry rotted so most likely take the tires to a plant and sell rims and get sum custom ones I’ll mail the guy and do a more in depth look at it and will do a better field assesment

It was from a shut down used car dealer so there’s a high chance of title

Really love the body style unlike the 65s version and maybe a bigger engine which I like and what should I look out for on rust
