I found that picture on the web. It brought back a lot of memories for me to. We used to buy these 3 in one kits at the local department store for 79 cents when they were on sale. Regular price was 99 cents. My older brother had a 40 standard coupe with a Pontiac 316 adapted to the early ford drive train . It was fast but the rear axles didn't hold up to well. It left an impression on me. I'm still driving my 40 convert after 50 years and over 400'000 miles. But the model kits are long gone.

  13. Wanted a Fordy ever since I was in high school, missed out on this pickup in 1980 because I couldn't raise the $2500 needed for the purchase. Over the years my tastes kind of leaned over to the '39 instead so after 40 years of dreaming I finally got my car. It's a 39 coupe and I don't think I would have been satisfied with any other car. I absolutely love this one. :)

The Striping and flame layout was done by Dave Bell (of Henry hirise fame) and Flames painted by Peanuts back in 1967

Mobile power wash service? :D With my hard water leaving that amount of soap on for even a short time the water spots would need to be buffed out.
    Looks great.
