Hot Rods Dashboards Lets See Yours...........or someone's elses

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by ekimneirbo, Aug 30, 2021.

  1. dash.jpg Old photo before i chucked the windscreen, seat n carpet back in but heres what i managed on a budget. An Edsel cluster is a whole new level of cool in a Fairlane in Australia. And being a general creepy kinda car i did some spider lace flake where Fairlane 500 trim would otherwise go since it was originally a Custom 300. Looks better in the light/in person!

I like this one (pic #1) from Speed Week in 2018. Mine (pic #2) is more plain.

    Hello,

One of the nicest sedan deliveries we have seen in our So Cal area for the last several years is this two tone Ford Sedan Delivery. The color is outstanding and the sunny day made the photo stand out like no other. It drew the attention of other cars/owners. Craning the neck was a common thing I saw as cars drove by while I was taking photos.

The interior was done nicely and reminded me of the customs of the 50s and early 60s. It was a combination of stock, custom and accessories to make cruising in So Cal fun and enjoyable, even on hot days of summer. We have seen this Ford Sedan Delivery all over the coastal area, so it is a daily driver.

It is/was a great combination of old and new designs that went together quite nicely. Inside and out!!! IOHO

You guys have some very nice dashboards!!! I am going for the early 50’s Hot Rod plain and simple look. It’s kinda boring compared to the ones in this thread. I will also put my tach in a cup on the steering column when I get time to buy a cup. I plan to have a simple switch for the heater, maybe even under the dash out of sight.
