1952-59 Ford Fords from the past.

I found information identifying that picture as being from the Highway Patrol TV series, so that fits with your information.

It's funny how many times they reuse the cars. The same vehicle will be used in 3 or 4 episodes, driven by different people, they must have had a low budget.

 

All of the episodes of Highway Patrol are on Youtube I also watch them on MeTV Channel 6 in Phoenix a lot of the earlier shows has 1956 Mercury patrol cars driven by the officers and Dan Mathews would pull up in the Buick,funny thing a lot of the "bad guys" drove Fords.

On a rainy day, office manager Oliver Pope is driving home when he hits a newspaper boy with his car and promptly flees the scene. He puts the car in his garage but when his wife sees the lights flashing, she thinks they have an intruder. In fact, its just the car acting up. In the middle of the night, his car horn honks and when his wife takes it out the next day, it stops at the exact corner where the accident occurred. When his compe***or at the office, Pete Radcliff, is arrested he thinks he's home free. It's apparent however that the car is going to continue acting up until Pope makes things right.

That 55 two tone wagon ends up rolled over on it's side in one episode due to excessive speed, like 70MPH! Speed demon salesman, had several close ups of the speedometer and I think the mileage was 28,000 or something like that. One episode with a lot of Hot Rods was called "hidden supercharger" or something like that. Seems the Hot Rod could outrun all the highway patrol cars.

 

Yeah, there was no supercharger on that car. Two singles.
It was called Hot Rod, the Burke Brothers built a roadster to outrun the cops but no supercharger.
