Hershey’s coming up soon who’s going and what are you looking for. Here are a few pictures from two years ago. For me I’m looking for 32 ford truck parts, windshield frame cowl vent and anything else I can’t live without
First time going to this show, or any swap meet really. Will be looking for '38 Ford Standard coupe parts. Chris
52nd in a row for me (last year doesn't count), 1968 was our first year. As lothi suggests, comfortable shoes, as unlike early years on gr*** everything now is on blacktop. If you are into race cars the Race Car Reliability Run is on Friday at 10:30 am in the stadium.
Lots of walking , as far as the eye can see ! Easier walking then the delapadated Carlisle roads. For those 1st timers ,spectators park in the gr*** cross the main road with the help of traffic guards and all blacktop walking from there as far as the eye can see . Some up hill steps separate different sections .Mouth watering sites for guys like us !!! I'm expecting to be there unless weather doesn't cooperate .
Some people will be there on Monday after moving from Carlisle. A lot of us will be there Tuesday and Saturday normally is dead where a lot of flea marketers pull out Friday night.
@Bowtie Coupe . I plan to bring your fenders down for you to pickup. hope to see you there. if not is there anyone that can relay them from Hershey to Endicott Maryland?
Wednesday is the first "official" day the swap meet opens to the public. We'll be there in the north Chocolate field with three trailers full of cool stuff! Look for my Model A doodlebug in my Avatar. A-Bone the old hot-rodder will be driving!
Me & my buddy will be there Tuesday-Friday. OBG 23-25. Stop by and say hello. I'll have a sign up front saying HAMB & Fordbarn Friendly. 40th year for me and I'm 51.
Heading out Tuesday, have a room through Sat night. Looking for 1950 Hudson parts and a 36 Ford truck grille
October 6-9. THE place to be especially for pre-war car parts!!! I'll have dozens of wheels, tables full of cool headlights and fog lights, grille shells and grille parts, dozens of fender skirts, dozens of hubcaps, gas tanks, trunks, headlight bars, '53-'54 Chevy front fenders, '55 Cadillac hood, fenders and deck lid, '40-'41 Chevy hood, Stromberg Carbs, Model A Ford Misc. '30's Ford front axles, '32-'34 Ford p/u dashes, '31 and '41 Buick dashes, etc, etc.............C4Y 1-4.
My Hershey buddy and I will be there Wed. & Thurs. I look for hubcaps and wheel covers that I need like another hole in the head, just can't help myself Most of the stuff I come home with I don't even know how bad I need it until I see it!! Sure did miss Hershey last year but as we all know, **** happened!
...It's adjacent to all of the Chocolate Factory and Amu*****t park, but as far as I know there isn't any affiliation.
Come by and do some digging. I'll have over 300 Wheel covers from the 50s and 60s looking for a new home. $5 each!!!
I might go one of these days. Hope you guys have a good time and buy and sell everything you want to. I'm with you in spirit. Especially since I have 2 grille shells coming from pkhammer (Greg) in Virginia via Hershey to Michigan with the help of @pkhammer @loveoftiki @terry54999 And even an offer to help from @Mr cheater in Wisconsin. BTW... I'll be recovering from shoulder surgery.
I hope your surgery and recovery go well. Glad we all together could get these parts to you. Kudos to all who were willing to help a fellow Hamber! BTW, if you've never been to Hershey you NEED to go to Hershey. 9000 vendor spaces filled with mostly prewar parts!!!
Please do!! There is some good stuff in there that I know is worth way more than my asking price but I ended up with over 700 caps and need to thin them out a little!
I hope to get a day off work on the Friday. If so, I will be there from first light till dark. Hope to see you all. Hershey is a long standing tradition for lots of us crazy old car guys. Its the BEST!
Thanks, Greg. And thanks for the grilles. I very much look forward to test fitting them on my roadster project. As far as going to Hershey... Judy here has timeshares around the country. Nice accommodations with full kitchens. Turns out she has one in Hershey. I may take advantage of it sometime. Just gotta book ahead. Now... I wonder if she has one near Wendover Utah.
