The Boeing Monomail, first flight May 1930, retired in 1933. Came in two wide winged models, the 200 and 221. Only one was manufactured of each. The cabin, with four windows on each side, sat forward between the engine and pilot. As shown in the photo, a passenger has to use a stepladder to climb on the wing to access the door to the cabin. Now that is what you would call interesting.
