The story of it's capture is an interesting read. She was boarded and taken captive by a baby flat-top carrier (built by Kaiser in Vancouver, WA) and towed by a few different vessels, under extreme secrecy. Quite the story, including an initial reprimand for the skipper of the aircraft carrier.
