I'd give a million dollars for that car. Then I would sober up and go out to the shop and say to myself, WTH did I do? LOL I'd say, $200,000 :D

Barris' Aztec appears to be in Hemming's for sale at $250,000 asking. It only went to $150K last year at Mecum's and didn't sell. I'll stick with my bid.

I often note when I get responses that some Hambers are long tenure members with very few appearances within Threads. I'm actually happy when I can share something to get them on for comment or to share their experiences...

Everyone matters...thanks for sharing your views...your screename did remind me of Dire Straits immediately even if it had no bearing on your choice of it as your handle...

It is as much a compliment as anything. I did say “cool”. Look, some folks are more talkative than others. Agree with @Stogy s comments. It’s the Man of Few Words mystique, there’s a definite cool vibe about it.

No guess on the price but I DID FIND WHERE IT IS HIDING!!

    In Wayne Carini's garage :)

At 14:00 Wayne DOES say it is it.

This is the guy that was Buds with Ass monkey and they bought cars together in some episodes.

Rod and Custom used the car restoration as a project car for the magazine In return Rod and Custom supplied all the parts though sponsors. There a vid on youtube were Pat G explains this

Man,,,I didn’t know pgan ,,was Pat Ganahl,,,,,a very talented person in the world of hot rods and racing .
The Hamb reaches a lot of the areas of the world,,,,and it helps that many talented people are involved .
I’m certain there are a lot of other guys here that are nameless just to fit in and not absorb the lime light .
Makes you proud just to be here,,,or at least that’s how I feel .

    That's Dennis Collins.
Wayne telling him about the Merc.......it's not the type of vehicle that had interest for Dennis.

I saw the episode on youtube. I was wondering why Wayne had it. Liked their conversation about electric cars.

^^^It was my understanding that the family contracted with Wayne to handle the sale of the Mercury.

^ I agree, I think he's brokering the sale for the family.

He buys and sells all makes and years of cars, so I was a little surprised by how little interest he showed in this one.

I watched that tour, and found it to be enjoyable Dennis and Wayne both came across differently than the shows they have been on before. Two car guys having a good time together. Bob

Anyway, It's a surprise to me that iconic customs don't get higher prices.
I was browsing through a back issue of The Rodder's Journal and there was an article about this major Von Dutch auction and some items were sold for crazy money.
I mean, someone paid over 300K for his toolbox !!

Maybe this will be a turning point...Life's like that...I guess the most positive note in this is an Iconic Revered Custom will survive to be appreciated and may even see more exposure in events moving forward...
