Industrial designer Henry Covington of St. Petersburg, Florida set out in the early 1960s to build a car based on the aerodynamic principles of Dr. Augustus Raspet, a noted aerodynamics expert. The result was the 1962 El Tiburon Roadster (The Shark).

Can’t tell you how many times I ate there. It was on the corner of Centinella and Sepulveda in Culver City. My Uncle was a commercial artist for the corporation that’s owned that whole corner. He probably did the the end anniversary sale sign as he painted the window sales of the appliance store to the left of this photo and-a large mobile home park off to the right. I was hoping some would post a photo of this place…

Not too late to buy a quart of Pennzoil hair dressing for Christmas.

 

I wasted a whole dollar once on five of the "19cent burgers"....ate two, and couldn't even give
the rest away....worse than the oatmeal burgers from high school. Big spender at the Sepulveda
A&W or Wichstand however.
