Corvairs were one of the few cars I never cared for. I had a friend who purchased a brand new one, around 1964 and it was I believe a Monza that looked all souped up. And it was a 4 speed. Jimbo
Dan, First of all, so sorry to hear of the loss of your close friend at such a young age. Life can be so very fragile and time passes way too quickly. Yes, I agree that cars are important and for me, with a very dysfunctional background, helped to keep me out of trouble when I was a teenager (always working and playing sports) growing up in a crazy place for several years. When a guy I knew showed up at those early days of football practice 1967driving a brand new Marlboro Maroon, saddle interior '67 Conv., I was hooked! Take care, Keith
