    On my 47 Lincoln, there is a cable that mounts under the dash with the reset knob on it. If that is the reset on the Mercury by the cable, that is a goofy place for it.

    Yeah 39 Merc. The gauge cluster mounts behind dash. I just finished putting mine back together after paint.

    holy moly, the mailbox was full this AM...
    a generous customizer from the great north gave me a '39 merc cluster face panel to weld into the '32ish dash panel...pic.
    the eagle landed, now i have to break out the tape measure, marker and saws...

    getting there,
    backside needs to be sanded flush so the cluster's lower edge can sit flat against the dash...
    to make an even offset between the gauge bezels and dash...
