Thunderbolt was a British Land Speed Record Holder in the 1930s. Captain George Eyaton's mammoth car, the Thunderbolt, set three land speed records in this car at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah. Thunderbolt's first record was set at 312.00mph on November 19, 1937 on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Within a year Thunderbolt returned with improved aerodynamics and raised its record to 345.50mph on August 27, 1938. Shortly after, Thunderbolt, again set a new record of 357.50mph.
