    1954, yep, same here Gordon.
Thankfully my cousin (girl) completely ruined my Grandmothers' 54 Chevy two door sedan that I had dreams of inheriting in the mid 60's.
Close call actually because there isn't much that I'm attracted to from most all of the big 3 car mfg.
I do dig 54 Studebakers though, like you they are cool in mild/wild street cars or drag and Bonneville cars.

My wife was born in 69 and I have honored her birth year many, many times! My birth year? Not even once.

  4. I've had a '55 Chev 2 door post, and a '55 Chev convertible, not specifically because of my birth year, I just like them.

I was born in 62 like several of you. I don't have a 62 anything but I built my avatar 36 Ford pickup like a teenager in 1962 with a limited budget might have. 56 Desoto hemi, dropped axle, minimum paint and basic interior. The Rader wheels are late 63's though.

Not me, but my dad was born in ‘36, he had a ‘36 Dodge PU and a few ‘36 Ford PUs, one is somewhat still around.
He said “it was good year”.
He also bought an 30.06 Model 70 from a pawnshop in Utah, because, well it was manufactured in ‘36.

I'm a postwar model, 1946. In my batch of toys I do have a 46 Ford Sedan Delivery. It is still just a roller,
I have big plans but a few other toys that need attention.

My Avatar, a 49' Ford Custom Tudor was my Dad's first car at age 36. He got it in December so they would have a way to bring me home from the hospital in January 50.

I'm a '56 model, and when I was young and stupid I had a '56 Belair 2dr HT, but I was too stupid to try to keep it. Now I only have a '56 Matchless and a '56 BSA (OT motorcycles):(

  17. Actually I kind of like '62 Chebbys. I do admit that I like '63s better tough.

I was born in '54 and '54 was just not a good year for cars. The '54 F 100 is the exception and the '54 grill is not the most beautiful of the first gen Effie. I have owned a few '54 vehicles but never set out to find one it just happened.

I just lost my dad at the end of this past year. He left me his 1965 Coronet 500 we rebuilt together. They both came on the scene in January of '65 and were only about two weeks apart according to the fender tag. Coronet.jpg

I had a 47 Ford Coupe for a couple of years. The stock flathead didn't have all the power I remembered from when I was 16, but it ran real good. I got it sorted out so that it didn't overheat and was very dependable. Then I saw an add for a 57 T-Bird so I traded the 47 in on the 57. So my little Bird is 10 years younger than me. 46Front.jpg

Not a car and not purposely bought but was the same model year as me. L6 226 Super Hurricane in it and a 4K original miles ranch truck.....paid 500 bucks for it in the late 70's.

Born in the final year of HAMB friendly cars.
I have had a lot of vehicles but none of them were 65s. I wouldn't mind an F85 though

  27. Being 63 I would like a 63 Corvette, but they are too overpriced now for my taste. Also like 63 Riviera, but would rather have a 64 with the ST400 instead of 63 with dynaslow. I did have a 64 Riviera in past.
