    Seats. 1964 Tbird...... dont hate me....

    Bench was just SO boaring i couldnt do it.
    Made my own seat pans that mate the deat to the stock floor. That means the bench can go back in if desired.

    Lets face it, GMs design budget in 1959 ran out after the body/dash we done. Stock interior is SO boaring. I wanted,,, no, NEEDED, buckets and a console.

    If you're gonna put buckets and console into a 50's car, the '64 Thunderbird setup is one of the best possible choices. Still period correct, and lots of custom Mercs got the same thing, along with the wraparound back seat. Not sure if you could make that work in a '59 Chevy or not but would look cool if you could, although the front seats and console look nice on their own.

    Question:
    59-60 2 door HTs;
    Left and right, rear window area, UPPER stailess trim with the "fuzzies" that are spotwelded to the "bannana looking" stainless trim. Where the rear window slides into when the window is all the way up;

    How do you replace the fuzzy in this trim ??

    Mine fuzzies are nonexistent and require replacement.
    I assume i have to drill out the spotwelds that hold in the fuzzy channel to the stainless trim???
    Is the replacement just fuzzy-channel-by-the-foot??

    I cannot find difinitive info on this.

    Please help if you have any info.

    Hi Mike, Thanks for the documentation on this build. I am also working on a 59 Bel Air hardtop and would like to ask a few questions.

    1. Where is the cowl tag on your car? I'm pretty sure mine is not in the correct spot and I want to make it as "right" as I can when I get to that point
    2. Where is the VIN tag on your car? Mine is inside the drivers door and this one seems to be in the correct location.
    3. Do both tags have aluminum finish or were they painted?
    4. Was your VIN stamped into the frame on your car? If so, where were the stamps?

    any assistance is appreciated. Pictures would be super helpful. I will try to figure out for to attach pictures of mine as well. Thanks in advance. Mike Spar
