  3. Yup without seeing the details of all the cars that would be my guess as well.

The black Hemi-powered roadster in post #20 (last picture) is owned by Butch Verbeck and built by New Age Designs.

Is it just the pic, or does the hood look like it is going uphill? Car almost looks swaybacked.

C'mon really? It's obviously a 1%-er with the deepest pockets.

There are a bunch of great cars entered but for me there isn’t one that really stands out as the clear choice. I think the Brizio built stretched ‘34 is my pick.

  10. Looks like one of those cologne bottle cars

  11. I've stared at pictures of the Brizio stretched 33 a lot today, in fact, I found the link with build pics here:
    https://www.roybriziostreetrods.com/progress/mumford_roadster/index.htm

Here is a quote from the page link above, about the body mods...
"We lengthened the chassis 21 inches. The doors and the openings have been made 6 inches longer. The cowl is getting an additional 2 inches and the hood will be extended 13 inches. To keep the proportions right, the body is being widened 2 inches in back."

The reason I've looked at it so much is because I love it, but also something seemed off. I figured out it's the wheels and tires. For the record, I'm not criticizing this beauty, it should win AMBR... but....imagine... blackwalls and Duesenberg style wheel discs and caps...

I guess I like that fancy stuff!

man, you have something there! The bias ply imitation radials on this car aren’t the best look.

  13. Mixed thoughts, the mix is better than many years, I just wish old regulars like Flat Top Bob were still posting cool projects like this as they were happening. It is telling that so many older regulars do not spend time here anymore.

  14. I really like the big 34. Real bias rubber would have sealed the deal, but I'm not paying the bills.

I think that Root 29 is a pretty good car. Would like to see more of that one.

Yeah, the W-Ws are almost too much... but personal taste... Still, what a stunning vehicle!

I'm not a fan of whitewalls either. The stretched '34 from Brizio would look more period with blackwalls, but the car is absolutely incredible . The whole concept and construction is beautiful, the stainless top is a work of art. The whitewalls look right on Bobby Owens '32 roadster because of the era of the car. A faithful restoration of the Causey early '60s roadster.

Thanks for taking the risk and posting! Although some of us might need a mild dose of eyewash solution....;)
And just in case anyone cares what I think, here's another vote for Flat Top Bob and the Ian Cusey '32.

I tried to figure this one out and the best I can come up with is modern sprint car inspiration? The wheels and tires are (among other things) very odd.
