Congrats to the winners! I wish I had a car with floor mats that nice. LOL. Lot of attention to detail and sleepless nights to build those. Lippy

Thay keep raising the bare every year. The 34 chevy was my pick.

  4. Every one of these cars are could have won the award but only one can win, I like them all but I have to admit the car that got in my eyes looked like it could have contended for AMBR in the 1960's. HRP

I like the stretched Ford, the turquoise ‘32, the red ‘32, and I don’t mind the winner but the lower part of the body just seems so sliced off. Kind of boring, needs a tad more style the lower six inches or so.

Hey, didn’t a ‘34 Chev win a couple of years back?

I think all of these cars are great, but some of them get to the point where they will be treated just like a treasured piece of art and never driven. I guess as long as people have the money to invest in these builds we will keep seeing them, but once you've won the highest award there is, I hope you get further enjoyment from the car other than just looking at it.

  9. I refer to these types of builds as "end tables" because I drive my end tables as much as these will be driven. To each their own, their money, their cars but for me, driving them is a big part of the enjoyment of having them.

Build threads don't seem to get much attention here any longer. I 100% agree with you. You have to post a thread about your favorite color floor mats to get many eyes today.

I’ll admit my emotional favorites were the Cusey roadster and the candy red one but they were pretty much long shots in todays big shows. I’m certainly not disappointed that the ‘34 Chevy won. Keep the hood closed and imagine it with bigger rear tires and painted primer black and it looks pretty “mean”. Those Chevys are sharp looking cars.
Someone said that the bottom edge seems chopped off, I too think it could use a little contour as the bottom edge reaches the front but it’s still very nice.

Thanks man! I'm just one part of the machine that allowed our success at the show, but I am proud of my part.

I'll try to compile some pics, and do a thread on it.

    First, just WOW!

I too think the short, straight, lower body line seems a bit off too, but, what a car.
I'm sure you'll agree, no matter whether it's a car show or sheep shearing contest everyone will have their own "appreciation" of things.
