I needed a daily driver…. Something fun since I’m only 15 minutes from work. So I picked up this 64 Biscayne. She’s a 4 door so I didn’t feel to bad about cutting her up a little. Also she’s a rust bucket that was close to being scrapped. My plan was to fix the rot and color in those areas so I could keep the original paint job to save money. Plus I wanted something to not feel bad driving in bad weather and parking in parking lots. Lastly Being a teenager in the 90’s I always wanted hydraulics... yeah, I know what you’re thinking. To be honest… I have a lot of cars, and this shit box has been the most fun I’ve ever had on the road. People’s faces when your car hops up in the air and drives off on thee wheels is priceless. Next was to see if I could save the paint… wet sanded with 2000 grit. Looks better already! 2C55DD2D-13C2-43D0-A354-AA13B98A1853.jpeg 7979F0B9-E43F-4184-A831-FA4A2F373D48.jpeg 1A6A4747-C07C-496D-914D-672AA13A1C3A.jpeg F8AA115C-0E6F-4EBE-AFA9-B32373801106.jpeg 12436A08-5461-4085-ABAE-D0EE41BA7ABC.jpeg

Be funny if it jumps up and down and leaves a little pile of rusty shit on the ground.

All good… Disk break conversion on the front with power brakes. Has the original straight six and three on the tree. She runs good!

Time for the fun stuff. Lots of YouTube on how to build a rack and where to cut out for the cylinders and lines. Two pump kit and 6 batteries makes her hop. D9AD152C-6B37-4089-90A4-1B9627A4ED4E.jpeg

The pay dirt… a shit box that does three wheel and hops about 10 inches off the ground. A car that I can embarrass my wife and teenage daughter at the drop of a dime. With buying the car and doing everything myself.. I’m in just over 7 grand. The best money I’ve ever wasted. Love my tail dragging Six-Foe!!! :) 359C1B10-D7A5-470B-88E5-CC37240088E0.png

    Doesn't look half-bad now.
Wait... but that's exactly what you wanted.
    Sorry, didn't mean to offend.
    It looks awesomely half-bad. :D
    And it dances.

You do nice work. All that tedious metal patching in the driveway is impressive.

  16. I love this so much! Good on ya, way to have a vision of making a car cool that most people would overlook. And nice rust repair and blend!

Bahahaha! Thanks man… there were a lot of cold days here in Pa when I was freezing my ass off and staying warm from the welding sparks landing in my socks that I felt the same way!!!

I love a budget build-out and I love '64 Chevys so I love this, too, although if a guy ran into a set of Cragar Star Wires or Appliance Steelspoke wheels or reverse offset Supremes or something, you might consider it. Not sure when straight spoke 13's came available but I doubt it was within the HAMB period.

I still like it though, and you can add me to the list of people who like your metalwork. I feel like too many people are too quick to replace entire panels or strip away more than is really necessary, and your blend turned out nice, especially that giant front fender patch.

  27. That’s pretty dang cool! I had a 64 SS a few years back that was on hydraulics and kind of miss it. My son was just talking today about wanting a low rider. Maybe his Edsel could be a similar project to this. :D
