@Stogy that turbine car was on the cover of Hot Rod I think it was 1955. May also have been in some other magazines as well.

Thanks Joe, what's old is new again...perhaps these unusual rides have always been able to be lisenced for street duty...must have been a very quick drive to the strip that's for sure...

I don't like it any more than you do but it's like masking history...

The world then like the world now is dotted with darkness...please don't suggest that this Thread or I support what that represents...Hotrod History is what it was...best to be noted as not all squeaky clean...

I replaced it with a copy of your edit...

  14. You didn't have to get rid of it.

When I noticed that, I looked up if Voigt is a German name. It is. I'm guessing he was relatively serious about that shit. I imagine he got some serious flak for it, especially since WWII veterans and hot rodding were associated sometimes.

Then there's the juxtaposition of the thread title with the shit the symbol stood for.

   ...The Original Post...

No sweat on changing it out, I don't need a Thread closed or membership suggesting in any way I am supportive of the ugliness so many elements of the Past and Inspired post Hamb Era Culture used on their Hotrods...Again I take offense to the suggesting the Title of the Thread in any way is juxtapositionally comparable to what that Symbol represented...

This Thread is about Hotrods that are period correct but from the perspective they are uniquely different and one of a kind, many times NOT so one of a kind, with a sizable number of them very close to the more considered elite perception of what represents The Hotrod...

Full cage freeway flyer...build it as a street version, with Dzus fasteners holding the body panels to the cage, and with the door hinges fastened on the cage too! 23218566-2B22-4252-B79B-DB6FB97067CC.png You can never be too safe!

  20. I apologize for my comments causing any concerns. I honestly wasn't suggesting anything about you nor the thread title, I just found it interesting that the car had that on it. I took the liberty to remove the symbol- that's all.

@anthony myrick was mentioning old racing chassis making it onto the street...that would be insane really for daily driving but nowadays some do drive Drag cars on the Street...not for Stogy however...

I'm tired of mist street rods thinking there are only two possible engine choices. The small block Ford or the small block Chevy with an auto. There are so many mire out the
