Moriarity, I am so jealous of your photo collection. I have been consumed with cars ever since I saw my first quarter car magazine at around the age of 12. That would be around 1957-58. Keep it up. I'm hooked.

That Metropolitan was probably 3 mph slower with those hood scopes.

 

Looks like T/S, with those slicks it sure can't be a regular NHRA stock cl***, probably a local outlaw cl***, we had some weird ones back in the day at our local track.

 

Rarity. 57 500 Convert with a single exhaust…272 Y or 6 could be had but I’m thinking broken tail pipe as the end cut in the showing is stock..

 

This store was part of the old Gateway Shopping Center about a mile from where I grew up in NE Portland.
