Well I have totally changed gears concerning my old cars.

My ‘29 A had sort of lost it’s charm to me so instead of letting it sit and do nothing I sold it after building and owning it for 21 years.

I still loved my ‘51 Hudson Super Six but it was never gonna get what it needed from me so I sold it also.

All of this facilitated me buying a car I have wanted for a long, long time.

Enter the ‘47 Hudson Commodore Eight Club Coupe.

It looks like a stocker but it has V8 power and 9”rear. Other than that it’s mostly still Hudson and is an awesome road car.

It’s gonna get some wide whites and I’m looking for some rear skirts and that’ll be about it.

There was one like this around locally a few years back. The owner passed and I never saw it again.........kinda neat IMO. From Illinois?

Looks clean and a very rarely seen car, if the other two weren't doing it for you then selling them and buying this was the way to go, not like there's gonna be another one of these for sale whenever you start looking.

  16. It’d be nice if it were a “cool” engine but it’s a SBC. I’m not a huge fan because it’s overdone but it works.

  22. I’ve never liked having the same thing everyone else has. Even with my daily.
Plus it keeps me from buying all the time as what I like is usually a little more difficult to find.

    Nice car . I owned three , a 47 coupe , a 47 convertible , and a 46 convertible.
The 47 convertible was an 8 with overdrive, the others were 212" 6 cyl.
    All Original Hudson powered.
I owned 13 Hudsons through the years, they all stood out in a crowed.

  24. This one was also originally an eight with overdrive but the previous owner changed that all out. He was 91 years old and drove this car or his 52 hornet club coupe to Hudson national events all over the country.

  25. A couple better pics. Car has been great so far. Have had to fix a few things but that’s what happens when you drive them.

  27. The front is gonna go down some. Rear is mildly lowered already. Just want a slight rake to the stance.
