What the heck is the trick to installing the clips for the window felts? Mine appear to crimp onto the various felts then the**** on the clip goes into holes in the window opening of the door.. a few seem to click in just fine with significant hand pressure and others simply will not... is there a trick to this?

Ok, I was able to get all the clips in place without the felt attached... One issue I had was there were still some remains of the old clips in the doors. However, a non-exhaustive search for how to do this says to now put the felt in place and pry against a wood block to close the clips onto the felt... I can't sseem to bend them at all doing this....

The reproduction clips are junk. Do you ave any original clips you can use?
I've given up completely on using clips and just glued the felts to the door....

I totally agree, the clips are junk. What have you used to glue the felts with, I've never had great success doing that either?

No original clips to be found unfortunately... You're right, both the clips and the felts seem pretty flimsy.. They are a product from Vintiques. I managed to put in the two shorter felts on the driver's side yesterday.. I marked the felt as close as I could for the clip locations then I carefully crimped the clip onto the felt. Any thing more than very light force would turn the clip into refuse. Then I installed with felt with the clips already on the felts into the door. It snapped in OK if I got the angle of the dangle (errr clip) just right as well as the force to push it. If I was off on either the damn thing wouldn't go in...
