Chevrolet. I’ll leave it to someone else to fill in the blanks. One clue- it was very limited production.

It's hard to identify Leo's heads. Probably made 5 or 6 sets of them, all seemed to differ in one way or the other. Joe Turner (died last year) had 2 or 3 sets and told me that there was little changeability. Leo's shop is about 1/2 mile from where I've lived over 35 years.

  6. That is L.C. Kirby's Cad powered Bandini sports car. Wasn't pretty, but it hauled ass! Took the NHRA record from Sam Parriot.

. . . and a 1/2 mile from Leo and me, years ago I saw a beautiful Pearl White and chrome blown front-engined fueler with a set of his heads on it. I've not seen a picture of it on this site. The names Babbit & Cody come to mind, but I've probably screwed that up.

Interesting! So was the car known as the Rattler like I always believed or maybe the embroiderer couldn’t spell?

Probably moonlighted as a sign painter. I understand that they're so challenged.

The "Mind Binder" Willis was mistakenly called the "Mind Bender".

Speaking of misspelling, when I restored the Coleman Bros, we noticed the original sign painter left the "H" out of polishing, only on the left side of the car. We didn't repaint the body, partially for that reason. P1010004.JPG

Misspelled car names used to drive my educator wife and me crazy. We talked about making a coffee-table book of pics of all of them.
It would be a fun thread here on the HAMB.
