Lack of wheel openings is over the top. Nash wasn't afraid to step up with an original design. I love it!
Those always look like they would have a 100 little legs underneath instead of tires if you turned one over.
George, I learned how to drive in a '52 Nash station wagon at age 16, maroon, with the wood trim, 6 cylinder, and three on the tree. I couldn't pick up hookers in that thing let alone high school girls. And additionally, the paint (maroon) was oxidized so it did in fact look like baby sh*t brown.
That was a thing at least until the 50s, though that looks earlier. Cars were jacked up in back, with glasspacks almost scraping the ground, ending just past the rear axle. That's what I recall anyway, as a pre-teen in Hayward, CA.
