does anyone have a good diagram of the clutch stuff, specifically the adjustment rod? I'm not familiar with these cars, and I'm trying to put something together that's been apart a long time and I'm having no luck with Google.
This is an old Joblot Ford parts catalog, click on the READ tab. They are out of business but the catalog has great illustrations. Also a factory manual is good to have around. https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/7467140/joblot-automotive-inc
these look like they'll work. it appears um missing the u shaped piece of metal, the spring, and the bolt that attaches the rod to the z bar. now I know what I'm looking for, thanks!
I've got another question: where does one find a clutch kit for this car? O'Reilly and rock auto both list an 11" 23 spline clutch, but I believe this should have a 9 ½" 10 spline clutch. Ebay has the clutch and pressure plate separately, but they want an asinine amount of money for them, and they don't include a bushing or throw out bearing. does anyone still sell a full clutch for this car?
The 49-56 Ford passenger cars came with the 9-1/2” diameter clutch with the 1” x 10 spline hub in the center. The pressure plate was also 9-1/2” naturally. This is all regular stuff that we and other vintage Ford vendors sell. We offer the parts individually or in a clutch kit.
