I think that's just "optical illusion". Possibly a distorted picture of a picture....

Yes, judging by the camber on the right wheel of the A(?) coupe, it is some type of barrel distortion.

If I'm not mistaken, the 40's bumper has been straightened in PhotoShop.

...SR, it's a Model T Coupe, Sancho pretty much sums it up, I always say that I appreciate everyone's effort to get the vintage pics on as best they can, coffee stains, blurry, curled up, on an angle, stuck on the garage wall, whatever...I have no doubt of it's authenticity...I did just take Photoshop liberty as I do on certain occasions to stretch, flatten and unglare and restore something that's in need of a tweak...not perfect but passable. I know many of our membership are barely able to post let alone understand the eccentricities of scanning and presentation of photos...so thanks to all that try as best they can. It's truly appreciated...

Kids Father hung out with quite the club...Rudy's Coupe is in front and his Fathers 40 is just off to the right of it...

...There's a little twist in Irony in that sign in the last pic as the late Robert Wethersfield did in fact make it as we all will some day to that place where so many here have already headed...Racing up in The Big Sky...RIP Hotrodder...it looks like you had a Yabba Dabba Doo time with the BowAMopar...is that one of those Man a Fre's on that Smallblock?

The original one was. This one I note is not RH drive and has a cowl vent, perhaps this is a replica...it's really so radical even a Coupe could be used for a base...

NZ Hotrod was pretty adventurous...they weren't alone either as North American Hotrod also was obviously hugely influential...many would feel similar about the Little Deuce Coupe...

...I saw the chopped coupwagon image first and said to myself it's just an Photoshopped inspiration but then I saw Anthony's post and the 2 horsepower Coupe became plausible...not the first I've seen this mix of Auto and Wagon...strange to say the least...:D

That Speedster is a classy chassis...I still feel they were a huge influence in go fast...

...The Molded/Smoothing is highly evident on this Former Coupe or Roadster. I wonder if lead was the medium used to achieve this...anyone know what's on the firewall above the steering column?

I saw the name of the shop and it is that Ray Brown who had that iconic Green Deuce and many more legacy's in Hotrod with his name associated with them..

I was saying there's differences in the one you shot JJ...I'm curious if it's a clone...I do know it was rebuilt from a state of disrepair in NZ...

Lynn Wineland was a California Hotrodder and built his first Hotrod, the 28 Roadster above in his teens with his Father's help...He did his tour of duty in wartime in Aviation followed by schooling in Art, spent time in Detroit Auto production and built several additional Hotrods each with unique details including a single door heavy channel Roadster with a Boat windshield and numerous other non typical fabrications notable...he also did Dry Lakes racing became good friends with many other notable rodders such as Alex Xydias and Doane Spencer...he also acquired Doane's 32 Roadster with its unique hardtop in the mid fifties...
