I am looking to see if anyone knows what model this superior wheel is? It came with a hot rod project its a 13in wheel
Can’t help with the name or part number of the wheel but it sure would be nice if that type of wheel was made larger for those who have older cars with manual steering.
Funny you mentioned '77. I was going to say the wheel bears a resemblance to a 77 T/A wheel. 2 holes rather than 3 in the spokes, smaller diameter, but similar hub and design. A wheel I know all too well.
Joe's Racing makes one somewhat similar in a 15" wheel. I just took this one off my '39 Chev to replace it with a vintage '53 Chevy wheel:
I've seen plenty of plain plastic, foam padded and metalflake Superior wheels and the wood one I had in my truck at one time may have been a Superior but I have never seen one with a stitched on cover. The six holes and large hole in the middle plus the 13 inch makes one think of small Japanese rigs like a Miata or mini truck.
I remember having a steering wheel in a 57 chevy that was made by Covico. I should be able to find the horn button out in my shop and compare it to the photo.
