  2. Yes! Come on! Are you in B/G ? I'm in B/G

It looked like a 60's fire proof suit except the wrong color.

I don't know about that. Gabe just needed a gold hat, shoes and cane to go with it. Maybe leopard print for the lapel as well.

We still had problems getting the B/G engine to run on the A/G injection so we made a tunnel ram Friday morning and made passes on it Friday night.

of course we lost our 150 pound weight break. So had to put the rest of the gym in the trunk.

  8. It runs but only above 8000 rpm. Working on a plan B now but we proved it can make rounds on a tunnel ram.

Nice work on the impromptu tunnel ram! Are you going to continue development on it? Do you expect it to make more or less horsepower than the hilborn? What are the specs on the new motor?

  12. The new B/G engine is a stock crank 392. All the heads and stuff are from the A/G engine. Nick is working on a better tunnel ram stay tuned. If I had endless money it would be interesting to see both the tunnel and injection on a dyno. You get 150 weigh break for injection.

  13. That’s my old coup - Gabe owns it now but it’s sitting here waiting on me to go through the carbs.

  14. Is that a Vicky behind it? I see a smaller rear side window and slant "A" pillar but kind of hard to tell.

  20. Wow! A year and a half ...... lets see, that B/G engine killed the rod bearings because it only ran above 8,000 rpm. The oil is either foaming at that RPM or just starving the rods. So the A/G engine went back in with Nick's new tunnel ram. It's a work of art! Ran really good at the finals except one of the carbs was leaking fuel and hydraulic-ed in the pits. It didn't hurt anything but started a grass fire.

I vote injection 100% after the tree goes green. I vote carbs everywhere else. The injection is just so hard to drive around the pits and the scales and backing up after a burnout. With carbs you hit the starter and off you go.

We ended up buying the 1976 ramp truck from the Swedes. Then I painted it - first ever paint job. Turned out ok.

Here's some pics. Gabe won the A/G championship for 2023. We spent a lot of time testing and testing. It's nice to live 30 minutes from the track!

The last picture is when Jon Kasse stopped by the track on a test session day. I told him @402BOSSMAN would be jealous.

I really dig the ramp truck and especially the paint. Nice work!

  29. The tunnel ram is slower than the injection - but a dyno session may show the carbs are not tuned yet. It's just so easy to start and drive with carbs. We need to work on the setup.

I'm planning to race as much as I can afford. No job right now. Got fired for not getting vaxxed so not too keen on working for anyone.

Not yet - maybe a few months out still.

That's Kim's pet - he hates noise so he jumped the fence when I was sanding and was going to put a stop to it!
