Legitimate or not, it can and should be used as an opportunity to educate and give guidance. Of course, as evidenced by some of the replies, you will not get through to everyone. Some heads are just too hard, and some ears seem only to be decorative....... But if it changes the way even a few build their cars, it has all been worthwhile.
[QUOTE="someone mentioned the Wagon, it is a strange model as that rear side door is extra wide...what is it ? [/QUOTE] Looks like some special body type, flower car? Some type of funeral car? Different rounded rear top corner at the roof
That wasn't a 46 or so jail bar F-1 sometimes known as Hound Dog that was bought out of Washington state? The guy who put that one together hung the springs under the axle to get it low and there was no way those springs were above the scrub line. Thing is with the 34 truck in question a taller set of wheels and a lower profile set of tires gets it past the scrub line issue for inspection but the stacked nuts on the tie rod to steering arm thing shouldn't pass any inspection anywhere. As it sits there is no possible way that truck could get in or out my driveway without hanging up. Be following another rig down the street where they are prepping the street for repaving and you will hang up on a man hole that is sticking up just as the kid here tore the crap out of his slammed but legal with 20 inch rims Honda a while back.
Could have been, his collection got pieced out several years back. A couple of the cars were rebuilt and ended up on the HAMB. One is infamous and from Reno, been in a few magazines
Can’t figure out why the original poster just did pictures..no commentary, etc. Like wise he has only 4 posts and only one is this. It’s obvious tome that he has either forgot to come back or he had an unfortunate SKID in the truck. Six pages on the thread. Give it up guys!
Maybe it was posted From the Afterlife /Beyond the grave ? He's trapped in it and we have to figure out how to set his spirit free ?

Wow these are fantastic conversation and some good suggestions I will consider doing. I found that a 1939 chevy axle looks very similar to mine but would probably result in the same angle.
I believe that a 39 axle is basically the same (maybe different hole size for the u-bolts). The only difference is that yours is dropped as best I can tell.
I traded a car for this truck then realized after the fact. Trying to figure out how to resolve this.
It is mine. I traded a project car for this and a friend brought it to my attention. Trying to figure out a solution
I had just acquired the truck in trade when a friend told me of the danger that I didn't realize. I posted the photo and forgot about the post when a friend came across it. I bought new tires and still haven't found a solution. There are some good suggestions
I just realized this post drew alot of discussion. I traded a car for this truck and a friend pointed out this dangerous issue. That's when I posted it. I haven't resolved the issue and am still searching for a solution. I discovered www.droppedaxle.com yesterday and working on a fix.
I forgot I posted this and a friend tonight came across this post and told me about the 6 pages of discussion it has drawn. SPEEDWAY told me about www.droppedaxle.com yesterday. Working with them for a solution. I traded a car for this truck. A couple days after the trade a friend saw the truck and pointed out this dangerous build flaw
I forgot I posted this. A friend tonight came across it and told me about the 6 pages of discussion. A friend two days after I acquired the truck in trade pointed out the dangerous low axle. I posted the photo desperate for advise. I'm working with www.droppedaxle.com as of today to try and figure something out. Appreciate all the feedback and suggestions.
I forgot I posted this and a friend reached out tonight and commented on the 6 pages of discussion it sparked. I bought new tires since the post and made contact today with droppedaxles.com to try and figure something out. I didn't know about this axle issue when I traded my car for it.
This is my first active post in years and didnt add any comments. Haven't resolved the issue. I know it's dangerous and have to do something. Reached out to droppedaxles.com today
I still need to take dimensions and get with droppedaxles.com wish they did 4" drops but they only do 3"
Well, you're on the right track now. Give ALL the details that Sid's asks for, answer ALL the questions they ask, follow ALL suggestions they offer, and you'll be OK. And so will the people on the road with you. Good luck
First let me say I really like your truck. For my taste it sits to low in the front. But because of that I would have crawled under and found the issues. I may get thrown out or tarred and feathered, but I think a really good blacksmith could help you out. At least with the axle and probably with the steering arms also. I think a good blacksmith could shrink (?) that axle. Hell I don’t even know what the proper term for lowering the spindle would be. Undagoing, dedago, dedagoing. Somebody help me out here. Please?! Then after they did the deed/procedure they could reheat treat it properly.
Thanks for your comment. I absolutely love the stinkbug cartoon kinda stance. I didn't build it. Got it that way. I sure hope to get this resolved and safer soon.
Yep, love the look of your truck and Sid at Nostalgia Sid’s Dropped Axles www.droppedaxles.com should be able to help you get it worked out. Give him a call at 405-416-3080
