  5. We have an E-day at school today. So we get to have a real lunch. We took the bus. I learned something
A th400 will shift itself out of 1st around 5k rpm.
I think we barked a tire
    Felt like it.
It’s very loud at that rpm in the bus

  7. I told the student with the carb backwards we were in danger of traveling back in time.
He had a weird look on his face

  10. I posted a link to a video.
It was backwards. We cranked it as he had it. Not gonna hurt anything, but we got a giggle out of it.

  11. Reviewing buffing today with SRs.
Both are old paint jobs. Clean, dry, wet sand then buff.
An old paint job is great because it takes the pressure off for screwing stuff up.

We did a light check today. The dimmer switch was fun.
The trans shift pattern blew their minds. Reverse is where low is for normal cars.

  19. It’s a combo of single stage and base clear. The car was originally metallic green. A previous owner painted it black many moons ago. Up close has pimples, scratches and cracks.
    It’s a car ya don’t mind driving.

Thats cool! With that motor I'm betting the owner could weld some rubber to the ground.

Yep, this is what my son drives to vo-tech every day. He is taking precision metal fabrication and has talked his instructor into letting him weld a roll cage in his OT El Camino that he wants to build into a drag car. I guess the instructor typically won’t let the students work on cars, but is making an exception for this project.

Thanks for all you are doing @anthony myrick! You are making a huge difference in these kids lives. I just watched a show the other night with Mike Rowe promoting the trades and he is sure helping those of us that see this as important as well.
