My cod, I love customs with scallops almost as much as I love fish puns. If you ask me, It doesn’t get any betta than scallops. So, I thought... "I should start a scallop thread just for the halibut?" So... ta-da!!! Here it is! Post up what you like!!! Hahahaha. Oh man... I'm krakken myself up, over here. I'm dolphinitely krillin' it this evening. I'm piranha roll!
I love scallops too. A friend of mine has a 55 Ford that was on the ISCA shows for about 26 years or so. This paint is over 40 years old
Taboo had them in the 90's. I like scallops on certain customs. Taboo was not one of them, I was not sad to see them disappear when we redid the car.
Tim, I hope you don't take this the wrong way but it absolutely ten-tickles the shit outta me that there is a fella named TROUTman in my fish pun... err... I mean... custom scallop thread.
Wahoo! Man, I'm pleased to see a thread whose sole purpose is to celebrate scallops. Let me plaice this here... (Image stolen from somewhere here on the HAMB...)
You lobsta up a bunch of shrimpy pictures on us. Some are shark, some are kelp, some are pearly. Why don't you muscle up some more so we can sea them and don't be a crab about it.... Haha- I grew up on the east coast / coastal town - old house from the late 1700's / just up the street from the ocean. As a kid Matchbox cars, to Model cars, to first car at 14. Hydroplanes with 7 HP Johnson's/worked on a lobsta boat in my mid teens, cruised the beaches. Yeaaaa
I'm just a greenhorn when it comes to harvesting scallops but here are a few I have grabbed from here, there, and yon.
TROUTman here again. Thought I would really contribute to this thread. I laid these out and sprayed them on a daily driver years ago when I painted it. I was really happy with them. out lined them with one shot and a brush took a long time .talked to a real STRIPER he asked me what thinner I used .And I said thinner never thought of that
I floundered down to the bottom of this photo to see the name of the photographer. That being Ina Mae Overman. Those who don't know the name should do a search on her. She was a magnificent lady, and owned some really nice cars..... Her daughter Mary Ellen shared her passion..... Gotta go now and cruize my A down the pike !!
