Hey all, trying to get doors on my 1930 Tudor sedan. I have matching length doors, 29.25"(for a tudor), and the openings are the same size. One overlaps and one looks to come just flush with the quarterpanel. Hoping someone here can help with a few dimensions. I've searched for this using every term I could think of and have come up empty everywhere I go. Looking for: Opening at top of door opening Opening at rocker panel(bottom of opening) Opening at the belt line Width of car at top of door opening(B-post outside to outside) Width of car as close to the floor as possible(B-post outside to outside) Thanks in advance, Matt
if coupe i could do that for you... maybe scroll through the threads and pm one of the guys doing a nice original tudor, he could get you the dimentions... go matt go !
Here are some measurements off my 1930 tudor it's about as original as you will find. The doors fit flush on the front edge and then overlap on the back Edge. I think pickups and tudors use the same door and Coupes are narrower. Maybe this will help you some
Sounds like either your doors are not the same length, or your door openings on the body are not the same length. So either the cowl is not square with the body, or the body is not square with the cowl.
Dirk, Thank you. Sadly I am down and out with the flu. Hope to get back to it this weekend. I'll post pictures with dimensions when I get back out there. Sub rails were rotten, so that didn't help me.
Anyone in the western mass(greater Springfield) area with a stock 1930 model a tudor willing to let me take some measurements? A few more things popped up and I starting to question the cowl squareness.
Found a car at a local car show finally. Got some dimensions and a few contacts local to me. Feels good to be able to get back to it.
