Would a 29 sedan frame be the same as a 30 pickup. Or are they vastly different?

  2. What is the model- Victory 6, Standard, etc?

That I don't know. I have this frame. I was told it's a 29 Dodge. I found a 30 Dodge pickup that is without frame. I was thinking if it would slip right under the pickup without modifying, then maybe I'd buy the pickup. Screenshot_2022-05-24-22-36-43.png Screenshot_2022-05-24-22-36-51.png

You might be able to find out from the “Standard Catalogue of light trucks”. There’s also the same for cars I think. Should be able to find it in the library.
I have Don Bunns book somewhere on Dodge pickups if I can find it, it would at least tell me the wheel base of the ‘30.

  6. That looks very much like a Victory 6 frame...
Dodge made it out of lighter material to keep weight down (the all-steel body slides down over the frame and bolts to the sides). Unfortunately, the frame becomes a major weak point in an accident.

compare the 29 dodge frame to a 29 ford frame no way the ford frame even comes close, closer to a 33-34 ford frame

Yes that’s a Victory 6 / DA frame. I have a 29 DA they replaced the victory model uses same fenders and frame just has different body. Very beefy and heavy. I have pics of my frame when I built it if you need visual verification. Also that gas tank cover is a twin to mine

We now know it's from a sedan but still don't know how close it is to a 30 pickup frame. I'm not looking for another major project. I have plenty of those, and, I need to run new power to my shop. Just thought if the frame was close enough that it might be a good back burner project.

I can tell you a 31/32 PU frame does not have the “swell” as it goes to the rear then narrow to the tank. If I don’t get called in tomorrow night, I’ll look through my Bunn book (if I can spot it) and see what it says about 30-32 and differences.

Can you see any serial number on frame? It should be on p***enger side behind front tire. You usually have to wire brush off rust to see it. I'm looking for a 28/29 Dodge Standard Six frame. serial J-1 to about J-75000
