A guy in sweden is restoring the Futurliner number 8, he's been working around 10 years, it were in pretty bad shape when he started.
I dont know how far he is but I don't think he's done yet.
He used to tour around carshows at summer and show the rebuild progress, and on one of the first i were allowed to climb up the stairs and sit behind the steering wheel, so I have atleast been behind the weel but in my case a undrivable rustbucket.

This is the current status of the swedish number 8, the parts display in the last picture is arranged in the Arvika car museum, the dismantled body of the Futureliner was displayed in July on the horse racetrack Arvika while the Yankees car club meet and exhibition.

No ride but I was inside a restored one at Iola car show many years ago. Don't remember which number it was or who the previous owner was anymore. one time I used to track them hoping to get one but all that info in my head is pretty much gone now. Only thing I can remember is Peter Pan bus line had one.

A couple more things popped in my mind thinking about the Futurliner while resting.

Some guy named Valdez owned one. Then I have seen 2 on tv in the recent past few years? (not sure on timeline). 1 was on a car show getting redone, believe it was that bitchen show. Second one was at some car show made into a carhauler/truck? That might not have been tv but you tube channel covering a car show maybe, don't remember, my mind has been foggy the last few years and not getting better. .

What a great automotive history experience to take that ride.
