Hot Rods Well I Did it! After Years of Somewhat Secretly Pining for One. Now with Progress Updates!

I'm usually not a "buy a finished car guy", but with a number of projects already in the queue, this seemed to be the way to go if I was going to drive and enjoy it anytime soon. I've known about the car for close to 20 years, and the builder for almost 40 years. It's a bit street roddy in its current livery, but I'll work on that over time. It's a real deal Henry car, with all Henry steel except for the headlight bar, hood and grill. I had it shipped across country last week in an enclosed semi-trailer, it passed the local safety requirements for an "out of province imported" car, and even rode the ferry for the first of many times to come (though will mostly be on its own wheels in the future) before being nestled into its spot in the garage (sorry about the inclusion of its OT stable mate).

So, as a new deuce owner, will you guys be sharing the secret handshake?

Get some 7in nice sealbeams now,an dump the big trendy fake crap headlights,we put the big lights in the trash can in the 50s n 60s. Love the car,going to be a ball.

I'll be there as a spectator in an OT car...I didn't pre-register this year as I wasn't sure if I was going...I promise not to be one of those "yeah, I've got one of these at home" guys that tend to elicit eye rolls at car shows.

I like it as-is! Keep the headlights (unless they don't cast much light).

Limited to 1200 cars and truthfully that is all the space they have that is actually usable without putting Cars on display so far away from the main part of the show that it would be like you weren't in the show.
