Story ….Just a super nice day relaxing in my shop. Switched the O/T wheels on the 57 to the current ones you see and removed a worn out carb with a rebuilt one from Carbs Unlimited which I recommend. Quick service/ bolt on with only a idle screw adjustment. The 57 has a 272 Y Block with a uncommon Automatic Trans. The 55 has a 6 cylinder / 3 on the tree. Both…..faded paint….patina … oh yeaaa. Old Faded Sunshine Yellow on the 55. Old Faded Pearl White on the 57. Took each out for a drive today.
Sweet. And a big back window’57. Thanks for story. I have a ‘48 F1. How long have you had both trucks?
As I get older , I appreciate the 1957/1960’s trucks more and more. When studying your ‘57 , the truck does really have a lot of character with the amount of body lines. It really gives the cl***ic truck vibe.
Well my Moon Discs don’t fit tight on the wheels as I would like so I took them off to see what I can do to tighten them up. In the mean time I had a set of Spinners to put on……..not bad…..not bad.
