...this has probably been shared but if not here she be...not sure of the year this is but its interesting seeing wires still making the high speed pass despite solids replacing them due to being considered a safer, stronger rim...

Maybe my perception of that change is not at all true.

Quite the wheelbase stretch is also highly evident as well...

It actually looks as if it might be rear engined...

Speed Gems, I'm sure I've seen that decklid before. Is that car in the Best of Hot Rod compilation book?

 

I don't know. Was it red and white? I'll have to check.

 

It’s black and white. Beyond that the memory is fuzzy. I don’t know where my copy of the book is.

 

Quick update.
Chassis 90% complete
“B” pillar and header wood is complete, need to install.
Steering and shocks in the works now.

Bonneville in question if we take it or not.
