  1. I use this one, they had a beef with Craigslist awhile ago but it still works.

I have bought 10 cars and a tractor or two using Craigslist. (Plus maybe 50 other odd items.) I've mailed cash with a UPS label and gotten great stuff cheap. You can site search using Google:
"1950 ford site:craigslist.org" . It does the whole of Craigslist. Used to work way better. Seems these days you may have to go through pages to see the real results. The algorithm has changed. This:
    00v0v_iprHkaUwilYz_0CI0lM_600x450.jpg
was on page two in Lima, Ohio. Look for the results that actually say what you are after: "1950 ford 2 dr. - cars & trucks - by owner - Lima / Findlay" rather than
"st cloud for sale "1950 ford" - craigslist". The latter has, or had, one in there. You might have to look for it. The former takes you to an ad. Mike

Could also be a Commander or Prez. Depends on the wb length, & engine. Badging should help. I can't tell from that shot. The Prez is most rare n most expensive. Commander in middle child. Hard to find.

That white Buick Super above is a 1954 model, not a 1952 as the seller says.

Chevy started back in the late 30's angling their B pillars on the coupes. But '39 had the B pillar angled more than previous years.

Complete as possible makes a big difference. Finding little odds and ends for the more "unique" models will cost more than the car.

Some good looking finds. If you consider the body shell as the buy, frame/ drivetrain/ interior, can be anything. there's a lot of potential. I know we don't like front clipped cars here - but in some of these it just makes sense

  20. All I ever see around my area is over priced junk.

You could own this 1963 Chevy II for a mere 12,500 w/t a salvage title.

No mention of the parts to repair damage. HRP

"no title" means it has zero interest to me. There's a way on your craigslist search you can filter out those ones.

  23. Ugh around here CL has been totally usurped by the loathsome FB. Zuckerberg is watching you....

So down south how does that no title thing work, you just show up at motor vehicles with a handwritten bill of sale? no Serial number verification or anything?

There are lots of different ways to get a title, but depends on the state. If your state accepts a bonded title, it’s a no-brainer. If a wrecker service says they found it abandoned on the highway, it can be perfectly legal for someone to claim it. I’ve had great luck getting new titles for old vehicles. Depending on where you live, that might be impossible.

Depends on the state. GA did not and will not issue a GA title for cars built prior to 1963. If you move to GA from out of state I do not recommend giving them your out of state title when you register it here for a vehicle 63 or older.

Bill of sale is required. If the car is currently registered in GA or another state and that registered owner is the name on the seller portion of the bill of sale they will register it with nothing else needed aside from proof of insurance. If the vehicle is not currently registered and they are not able to do a VIN search a state trooper will inspect it. He will want to see any VIN or serial number plates or stampings on the car. If it comes up clean and clear they will register it.

Also GA has an official bill of sale form on the DMV website you can download and print out. I always use that instead of just a hand written one.

I didn't think this was too bad.... Needs plenty of tlc, but not terrible for the price.
