Thank you sir, the color is a stock color on the newer Mini Coopers and my wife and I feel it really works in cars with a lot of curves. Since it’s an oem color it can be touched up too!
Got to talk to this old timer Saturday at the Zeeland car show. Told me all about how the guy he bought it from him and his uncle brought it from Chicago to Zeeland using nothing but a tow strap. Told me about what he did with the grill, and the tail lights.
A friend passed away and a few of us have been finishing his car off so his wife can sell it. Down to 3 or 4 small jobs. We've put only 70 km on it so far. It's the one with the Desoto grill. The 4 door belongs to one of the fellows that has also been working on it.
Very nice of you guys to do that. A friend of mine got a cancer diagnosis a couple years ago and I spent quite a bit of time finishing off one of his project cars so he could drive it before his time was up, and he did get to see it finished and drive it twice before he passed. It's a strange feeling, finishing out someone else's dream, but very rewarding in the end.
I miss a lot of Magazines that we use to get. It was kool to see the Kustoms in American Rodder, it was one of the best.
Thanks for that. He never got to drive it. And the real sad part is he was one of the best upholsterers around here and only had it half done so we had to pay someone else to finish it. But at least he had the door panels and rear seats built and had drawings of the designs. Here's what he did with the headliner and how the rear seat are turned out
